PLEASE NOTE: The following images of Neotibicens have been placed under this generalized category. The visual identification of species of N. linnei, N. pruinosus pruinosus, & N. canicularis are often misidentified and disputed by experts. These species are both morphologically and genetically similar, have color variations with sometimes similar calling songs, and overlapping geographical boundaries. Hybridization is believed to occur within these overlapping territories thus making proper identification even more troublesome.
