Meet Andrew, one of our stellar employees at Magic! He’s a valuable member of our Customer Success team and has played a key role in our mission to provide exceptional service to our clients. We’re thrilled to share that Andrew has already embraced our core value, PLOW, in just 6 months!

When Andrew isn’t busy at work, he enjoys spending quality time with his lovely wife and their furry companions. They’re passionate about rescuing dogs and cats, and Andrew is always happy to show off some adorable photos of their latest rescues. At Magic, we believe in work-life balance, and we’re happy to support Andrew’s interests without compromising his work commitments.

Start of the journey

I was looking for a customer success role when I came across this job posting on LinkedIn and decided to apply. Going through the recruiting process can reveal a lot about a company, and for Magic, it was one of the best, if not the best, experiences I’ve had. I recall starting approximately 6 months ago, but it feels like I’ve been here for years. Everyone has been friendly and accommodating. You get a great sense of community and really get to see “PLOW” in action.

I am blessed to be in a role where I interact with a lot of clients and assistants. I can’t really pinpoint a specific moment where I’m proudest, but it always makes me happy whenever I hear clients say that they love working with Magic. Whenever clients grow with us, we in turn create an opportunity for more remote roles. More remote roles mean more people get to spend more time with their loved ones while having the ability to earn while working at home.

Working with one of the pioneer teams such as Customer Success

I am thrilled to be a part of a rapidly growing team who shares a common goal: to promote growth, stability, and exceptional care for both our clients and assistants. It brings me great satisfaction to have contributed to the growth of numerous accounts, expanding their virtual assistant teams from just one or two individuals to five, ten, or more. Every day, I am motivated by the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others and help them achieve their goals.

Collaborating with Magic Teams

Collaborating with different teams at Magic has been seamless and enjoyable. We have a culture of transparency, open communication, and plow, which makes it very easy to work together towards common goals. I can safely say that all the wins I’ve experienced have been a result of the collective effort of all the teams I have worked with.

Every day is a new plow experience and what I like most about it is it drives me to perform my best knowing someone has my back should I need help. From my direct manager to our Matching team, Client and Assistant Relations, Sales, HR, Training, and even our Executives – you’ll really see that all teams in Magic support everyone as we all plow and work on our day-to-day tasks.

Work-life balance

My wife and I have dedicated our time to building a small shelter for stray cats and dogs in our neighborhood. However, balancing our passion project with our professional lives can be at times challenging. Fortunately, working at Magic has provided me with the flexibility to pursue both without sacrificing one for the other. Whether it’s driving to our local vet or rushing to rescue a kitten in need, I am grateful for the work-life balance that Magic has enabled me to achieve.

Advise to candidates

Go for it! Don’t waste another minute putting it off because it may just be the best decision you will make for your career now. Magic is a forward-looking, future-proof company that really cares for the people they work with. There’s always help whenever you need it and you’ll see it and feel it as soon as you send in your application.

The one word that perfectly captures my current journey with Magic is “CARE”. Magic is a company where everyone genuinely cares about their clients, employees, and everyone they work with or interact with. I am proud to be a part of such a compassionate and empathetic team that truly values the well-being of others. Working with Magic has reinforced my belief that genuine care and concern can make all the difference in the world, both in business and in life.
